How We Got Started

Sutton Tree Service started with one truck, a saw, and the realization that central Illinois homeowners needed something better than the two-guys-with-a-pickup operation they kept calling.

The difference was always going to be equipment. A bucket truck means you can work over a house without putting a climber on it. Your own chipper means you're not leaving a pile of brush in someone's yard. A stump grinder that you own means the job is finished in one visit — not whenever the subcontractor can squeeze you in.

That philosophy hasn't changed. We've grown since day one, but we still bring our own iron to every job, answer our own phone, and stand behind every estimate.

Our Equipment

In rural central Illinois, most competitors are under-equipped. This is our competitive advantage — and it's why we finish jobs in one visit that take others three.

Bucket Truck

The single most important piece of equipment we own. Lets us work over houses, sheds, fences, and near power lines without climbing. Most competitors in this market don't have one.

Skid Steer

Heavy lifting, land clearing, moving logs and debris across large properties. Turns what takes a crew all day into an afternoon.

Chip and Haul

All branches and brush processed on-site. No piles left in your yard, no return trip needed. The chipper runs on every removal job.

Dump Trailer

Everything gets hauled away. When we leave, your property is cleaner than when we arrived. No extra charge for debris disposal.

Stump Grinder

Owned, not rented or subcontracted. Grinds stumps 6–12 inches below grade same-day as removal. This is the upsell that competitors can't do themselves.
